How It Works

To add quantity inbound as a variable to buyer group emails, you’ll need to create or edit an existing custom buyer group email. To create a custom buyer group email that includes Qty. Inbound:

  1. Go to System > Site > Custom Emails.
  2. Click Add Email.
  3. Select one of the Buyer Group email types as the Email Type.
  4. Enter a name for the custom email. Note, this is an internal name, not the subject of the email.
  5. Fill the subject field. This will be the subject line of the email.
  6. Make sure the Active checkbox is checked. You can unselect this in the future if you wish to keep the template but make it inactive.
  7. The text field shows the default HTML content for the email. You can edit this to customize the look and information included in the email.
  8. Click the Tags button to see what variables you can add to the email.
  9. Use the tag {{QtyInbound}} to add the Part Quantity Inbound variable to your custom email.
  10. When done customizing the email. Click Create.
  11. Click Link Email to choose which portals and User Groups to link this custom email to.
