Did You Know you can show Expected By dates for out-of-stock products that have open Purchase Orders?

marketing portals web print

Expected By Dates is a new user experience setting that will replace the lead time estimation (for parts with no inventory) with “Expected by: [date]”. The date shown will be the earliest requested hand-in date of all open purchase orders for that SKU.

In addition, with this setting turned on, the system will also use the earliest open purchase order to calculate the estimated ship date.

Benefits to the Client

  • Give more useful information to end users browsing products.
  • Show a more accurate lead time for out-of-stock products with open purchase orders.
  • Change how estimated ship dates are calculated for products with open purchase orders.

How It Works

To turn on Expected By Dates:

  1. In the back end, go to Portals / Select a Customer / Settings.
  2. Go to the User Experience section and find the setting called Expected By Dates.
  3. Change to “Yes”.
  4. Save.
