Did You Know there are several ways to assign prices to parts?

To suit as many workflows as possible, there are multiple ways to assign or modify part pricing. This is an overview of 3 methods for assigning prices to parts from the back end.

1. Directly to a Part

If you need to assign or modify pricing for a single part, this is the simplest method.

  1. Go to the part details: Part / Parts.
  2. Click on Price Lists on the left-hand menu.
  3. Click on the Price List to modify. (Most of the time this will be the Default Price List.)
  4. Input the desired price per each.
  5. If needed, you can also input price breaks discounts by clicking Add Discount.
  6. Once done, click Save.

If you’re trying to modify the price of a part that already has a standard price list assigned to it, you will need to first remove it from that standard price list. This can be done in the part’s details. Go to Part / Parts / Select a part / Price Lists and clear the name of the standard price list from its text field.

Note: Price breaks are based on the Pieces value of each sellable unit. If your Pieces value is greater than one (1), the volume of each price break should be aligned per single orderable unit.

2. Standard Price Lists

Standard Price Lists are a useful tool for assigning and updating prices for many parts quickly. Any updates to the price list will apply to all parts with that standard price list. To create a standard price list:

  1. Go to Part / Standard Pricelist.
  2. Click Add Standard Pricelist, give the price list a name, and click Save.
  3. Click the new price list’s name.
  4. Fill out the price info including price per each and any pricing breaks.
  5. Click Save.
  6. Go back and click the Show Pricelist Part(s) button.
  7. Add as many SKUs as needed to the price list.

You can also add parts to a price list by going to the part’s details, clicking the Price List tab, and adding the price list to the Standard Pricelist field. If you clear the [None Selected] text you’ll get a dropdown list of all available standard pricelists to choose from.

3. Bulk Edit Price List

The bulk edit function allows you to change the price of multiple parts and create a new price list on the fly.

  1. Go to Part / Parts.
  2. Search for all SKUs that need the same pricing assigned.
  3. Check the SKUs to highlight them.
  4. Click the Bulk Edit button.
  5. Go to Price List and check the Replace Default Price List box.
  6. Input a new price and new price breaks if needed.
  7. Click Save

This price will be applied directly to the parts and will replace any standard price lists that these parts have been assigned to.
