New setting: Log Downloads

New reports: Parts – Download Tracking

The portal-level setting “Log Downloads” enables you to track and report on product file downloads made on a portal. This includes personalized product proofs and non-personalized product preview downloads.

With “Log Downloads” turned on for a portal, each time a user downloads a product preview image, whether it’s a personalized proof (high-res or low-res) or a static product, the system will log that download event. You can then can pull reports on information such as:

Product and User Information

Date Downloaded 

Download Count (across the timeframe)

You can also see on the report whether each download was done a proofing page or a browse page.

Benefits to You

  • Track downloads of product preview images on a portal.
  • Track downloads of individual personalized proof images (HR and LR).
  • See information such as which user downloaded the logged download, how many times that part has been downloaded, and more in reporting. 

How It Works

To turn on Download Tracking for a portal:

  • Go to Portals / Select a Customer / Settings.
  • In the Storefront Access section, find the setting called “Log Downloads”.
  • Set to “Yes”.
  • Click “Save”.

The reports on product preview downloads can be found by going to Standard Reports in a section called “Parts – Download Tracking”.
