Did You Know you can choose to display only the “price per each” for all parts on a storefront’s browse pages?

“Always Show Each Price” is a new portal-wide optional setting that affects the way prices are displayed for all users on the storefront.

This setting forces prices to be displayed as the unit price, i.e. the price per each, on the browse pages, detail pages, and in search results. Pricing variables such as dropdown list price breaks and quantity minimums will still go into effect when ordering, but when browsing only the price per each will be shown. See an example below:

The updated price of the line item will still show in the cart and during checkout. And dropdown list price breaks will still show when a user is choosing options on a configured part.

See the following Did You Know to learn more about assigning prices to parts.

Benefits to the Client

  • Simplify and clean up the browse pages by standardizing all products to display their “price per each” price.
  • Portal-wide option that affects the price information displayed on the browse pages, product details, and search.
  • Reduce the pricing information shown to users when browsing but still show and reflect discounts and other pricing details when ordering, in the cart, and during checkout.

How It Works

To turn on “Always Show Each Price”:

  1. In the back end, go to Portals / Select a Customer / Settings.
  2. In the Price/Payment Settings section, find the setting labeled “Always Show Each Price”.
  3. Set it to “Yes”
  4. Save.
