Did You Know you can replace a part in open orders via the Show Open Orders view?
We have added the ability to replace a SKU in open orders from that SKU’s part details page.
This can be done via the Show Open Orders view, which lets you see all open orders that include that part. Now, in addition to being able to cancel or close orders in Show Open Orders, you can also use the new Replace function to replace the part whose page you are on with a different SKU.

Replacing a part in an open order does not change any other details about the order. The quantity of the replaced order line remains the same as well as the order total and pricing calculations.
Replace will show up as an option when using either the Backorder, Released, or Firmed filter in Show Open Orders.
Extra: Along with the addition of the Replace function, we have added shortcut buttons to the Show Open Orders, Show Order History, and Show Inbound Quantities views to the Part Search page.

- Edit the order line contents of an open order by replacing one SKU with another.
- Replace parts that are on backorder and causing fulfillment to be delayed.
- Allow clients to fix incidences of users ordering the wrong product with a quick SKU swap rather than canceling the order.
How It Works
- In the back end, go to Part / Parts.
- Search for a part that you want to replace in an open order and click into the part’s page.
- Click Show Open Orders.
- Select one of the Order Status filter options to enable the Close, Cancel, and Replace functions.
- Click the Replace All or the Replace Selected button.
- A window will pop up that lists the number of order lines that will be replaced with this action and confirms that you want to continue.
- Search for a part to be the replacement SKU in the order line(s).
- Click Select SKU to complete the replacement.
