Did You Know you can set up Google reCAPTCHA for spam protection during the user registration process?

We have added support for Google reCAPTCHA to Propago. Enabling this setting will add a CAPTCHA step for users to complete when first registering their account on one of your portals.

This is a site level feature that will be enabled across all of your portals. Setting up Google reCAPTCHA simply requires a few steps which are outlined on this new settings page found by going to System / Site / reCAPTCHA.

Benefits to You

  • Add another level of protection to access to your portals.
  • Prevent spam by bots by adding a CAPTCHA system to your user registration process.
  • Utilize Google reCAPTHA with a few simple steps to enable across all portals.

How It Works

CAPTCHA is a site-level setting which can be accessed via the back-end by going to System / Site / reCAPTCHA. On the reCAPTCHA page, to enable, do the following:

  1. Click the link called “Google reCAPTCHA Admin Console”.
  2. Give the CAPTCHA installation a label. This can be anything.
  3. Check the reCAPTCHA v2 box.
  4. Under domains, enter any base domains for your portals. for example if portal url is portal.example.com, you would enter example.com
  5. Enter emails of the administrators
  6. Accept reCAPTCHA Terms of Service
  7. Submit the form. Your API keys will be generated. Then enter below and save.

These instructions are also listed on the reCAPTCHA page in the back-end.
