Did You Know front end users can use the “Add Keyword” button to quickly narrow their search?

Front end searching has been given some minor adjustments to make the searching experience more intuitive and convenient. Instead of a single button to input a search that clears the previous query, there is now an additional “Add Keyword” button which allows users to tack new keywords onto their current search query.

This makes it easy to continually narrow your search for the products you are looking for without clearing your search keywords with each new addition. For example, searching for “flyer” might return too many results, so the user can use the “Add Keyword” button to add “promotion” and “seasonal” to their query in addition to “flyer”.

Benefits to the Client

  • Use the “Add Keyword” button to add new keywords without clearing the previous query.
  • A new way to narrow search results while searching on the front end.
  • End users can find what they are looking for quicker and with less input.

How It Works

On the search page there is a new button next to the “Search” button called “Add Keyword”. When a user wants to narrow the results of their current search query, they can type a new keyword into the search bar and click the “Add Keyword” button. This will append the new keyword to the previous search query without clearing the search.

Users can use the “Clear” button next to the keywords or simply enter a new search and click the “Search” button to clear the current keywords and start a new query.
