Did You Know you can enable sorting products by popularity?
The setting Enable Most Popular Products will give end users the option to sort the storefront browse pages by popularity. Popular items can be calculated by order quantity or order count (i.e. the products that are in the most orders historically or the products that have the greatest total quantity ordered historically).
When turned on, users can find this sorting option by clicking on the Sort button at the top right of the product browsing screen.
Benefits to the Client
- Give end users another method for sorting products while browsing.
- Users can easily see which products in each category have been ordered the most.
- Control over the way popularity is calculated for products when sorting.
How It Works
To turn on this sorting option:
- In the back end, go to Portals / Select a Customer / Settings.
- In the User Experience section, find the option called Enable Most Popular Products.
- Set this option to either “Based on order quantity” or “Based on order count”.
- Click Save.
