Did You Know you can control back end user access rights?

There’s a lot that can be managed in the back end of the Propago platfrom. It encompasses warehouse management, production management, and much more. But, depending on the way your company is structured, you may not want everyone who has access to the back end to have access to everything.

Luckily, there’s an easy way to manage users’ back end access rights. You can use this feature to restrict from view certain sections of the back end to individual users. Essentially, you can exercise more nuanced control over what features and workflows your employees can interact with.

Benefits to You

  • Give users access only to the sections of the back end that they need
    • Streamline end user experience by eliminating unneeded sections from their view
    • Reduce risk of users accidently making changes to items and settings in sections unrelated to their position
  • Quickly see what access rights a user has and make changes via checkboxes on that user’s details page

How does it work?

Back end access rights are at the bottom of each back end user’s details page, which can be found under System > Backend Users. The options are WMS Admin, WMS Access, Production Access, or Help Desk Access. A user can be given access to one or multiple. Checking the Full Access box gives the user access to the entire back end regardless of what other boxes are checked.
