Benefits to You
- Save Time: Quickly add or update large numbers of parts in one go, minimizing manual entry.
- Streamline Operations:Manage parts more efficiently with bulk imports that simplify complex updates.
- Import Flexibility: Customize your import file to update specific details or add entirely new parts.
How It Works
Step 1: Create a Part Load Sheet
There are two ways to create your part load sheet:
Option 1: Create a load sheet from scratch
- Download the Supported Properties file (available as CSV or PDF) for reference.
- Create a spreadsheet with columns labeled according to the CsvColumnName values in the Supported Properties file.
- Add rows for each part to be loaded or updated, filling in the relevant column data.
Option 2: Export a part report
- Navigate to Reports → Standard Reports or Customized Reports.
- Open a part report and configure it to include the columns you want for the part load. Use filters to refine the list of parts if needed.
- Export the report to CSV.
- Update the part information as needed and/or add new rows for additional parts.
- Remove any columns you don’t want to update.
Important Note: The Bulk Part Loader updates all columns present in the load sheet, including blank cells. Blank cells will overwrite existing data with null values, so ensure your load sheet includes only the columns you want to modify.
Step 2: Use the Bulk Part Loader
- Navigate to Part → Parts → Bulk Load/Update.
- Select the customer.
- Upload your part load sheet.
- Check the column mapping results. If necessary, manually map columns by dragging them to the corresponding System Column.
- Click Start Update.
- Review the popup summary showing how many parts will be added, updated, or processed in total.
- Click Confirm to begin the import.
Additional Details
- Part Categories can be added during an upload but cannot be removed.
- Newly added parts without an Available Date will default to being available immediately and expire on 12/01/2099.
- Existing parts with an Available Date will retain their date unless a new one is provided in the load sheet.
