Did You Know Bundles make it easy to apply personalized data to many products at once?

web to print online portal marketing

A bundle is a specialized product kit that lets users personalize multiple items through a single form submission.

For example, if a client wants their customers to order a kit containing a coffee mug, t-shirt, business cards, and pens, all these items can be added to the Bundle Kit. When ordering, users only need to fill out one form, either using data from a profile, or through manual entry. Once the form is submitted, it will be applied to each personalized item in the kit as needed.

Benefits to the Client

  • Easily apply personalized data to many personalized templates using only one form.
  • Enable users to quickly apply data from their user profile or from a global profile they have access to, to multiple projects with one click.

How It Works

To create a Bundle Kit:

Kit Setup

  1. In the backend, navigate to Parts / Part Kits.
  2. Click Add to create a new Part Kit.
  3. Select Bundle from the Kit Type dropdown list.
  4. Add the Kit to a part category (all part kits must belong to a part category to be visible in the portal).
  5. Go to the Parts In Kit tab within the kit’s page, and add all the kit components (products to be in the Bundle) to the kit.

Global Form Setup

  1. Create Global Form variable names to align with the Soft Proof Project variables for easier assignment.
  2. Create the Template Project.
  3. Set up project variable names to align with Global Form variables to streamline variable assignment.

Soft Proof Project Setup

  1. Create the Soft Proof Project.
  2. Select the Global Form to be associated with the Project.
  3. Add the new parts to the project.
  4. Set all variables to the Global Form variables, and arrange them in the order they should appear in the personalized form.

What Happens After the Bundle is Ordered

Once the order is submitted, each item in the kit is routed to its assigned part workflow:

  1. Personalized items go to the Custom Print On Demand Queue.
  2. Print-on-demand parts go to the Print On Demand Queue.
  3. Static parts go directly to fulfillment.
