Did You Know you can now filter and search for configuration options while using the auto-generate feature?
When setting up a configured part, you can quickly create child SKUs by using the auto-generate feature. This is a convenient way to generate many child SKUs at once by selecting the options you want and letting the system create all the configurations for you.
The auto-generate page now includes search bars above each configuration type. This search bar enables you to filter the options or search for a particular option. This can be helpful in situations where you have a configuration type with many options.
For example, you might have a configuration type for “color”, and you want to find all the variations of green. You can search for “green”, like the example below. Then you can select the green variations you want, clear the search bar, or search for another color, and continue adding selections.

How It Works
To search for a specific configuration option, or filter the list of options while using the auto-generate feature:
- In the back end, go to Part / Parts.
- Select the master part you want to create child SKUs for.
- Click “Configuration” in the left-hand menu.
- In the Configurations section, click the “Auto Generate” button.
- Each configuration type has a search bar above the list of options. Typing in this bar will dynamically filter the list.
- Selections made while the list is filtered will persist even if the search is cleared or filtered again.
