Did You Know you can set up Two-Factor Authentication for front-end user access (portal-level 2FA)?
Previously only a feature for back-end site access, Two-Factor Authentication is now available as a portal-level setting. You can turn on Two-Factor Authentication per portal to add another level of security to the portal.
Engaging this feature will require front-end users to input a 2FA code each time they log in to their portal, using an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator to generate a unique one-time code for each login.

Benefits to the Client
- Add two-factor authentication to increase the security of your portal.
- Comply with security requirements with an integrated two-factor authentication system for portal access.
How It Works
To turn on two-factor authentication for front-end users of a portal:
- In the back end, go to Portals / Select a Portal / Settings.
- In the User Experience section, find the setting called “Enable Two-Factor Authentication”.
- Set the “Enable Two-Factor Authentication” to “Yes”.
- Click Save.
The first time a front-end user attempts to log in to this portal after this setting is enabled, they will be prompted to set up their two-factor authenticator. The login page will have a QR code and manual code. Users can use either method (QR code or manual code entry) to setup Two-Factor Authentication with an authenticator app such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator.
Once this is set up, a user simply needs to open their authenticator app and enter the one-time code to proceed to the portal after entering their user password.
