Did You Know: Bulk Add to Cart
We have added a new “Bulk Add to Cart” functionality to front-end storefronts. Users can select any number of static, non-customizable products using either the checkbox on each or the Select All button.
These selected items persist for the duration of the session, including across different browse pages, on the search page, and in Favorites pages. A banner along the bottom of the screen keeps track of how many items are selected. When ready, the user can add all selected items to the cart at once. All items are added with the default quantities and the user can adjust the quantities in the cart as needed.
Benefits to the Client
- Speed up your ordering workflow by adding static items to the cart in bulk.
- Adjust quantities for a list of products all in the cart instead of one at a time while browsing.
- Use Select All button to auto-select all the items on the current page that are compatible with Bulk Add to Cart.
How It Works
To turn on Bulk Add to Cart:
- Go to Portals / Select a Customer / Settings.
- In the User Experience section, find the setting called “Bulk Add to Cart”.
- Set to “Yes”.
- Save.
With the portal setting turned on, all parts that meet the following requirements will be selectable for Bulk Add to Cart:
- The part is in stock and available.
- The part is not personalizable or customizable via configurations or attributes.
- The part is not a Kit, Fixed Asset, Offer, Tradeshow part.
- The part does not allow user uploads or direct mailing.
Users can select items on any product browse page, in search results, or on a Favorites page. The checkbox for selecting items is found in the top left corner of the item thumbnail.
Browse, search, and Favorites pages also all have a Select All button which users can click to automatically select any selectable items on that page.
Clicking the Add to Cart button in the banner at the bottom of the screen will add all selected items across all storefront pages to the cart with the default quantities.
