Did You Know Part Details now include the Buyer Group that the part is attached to?

front end web to print marketing portal stock image

Buyer Group has been added as a line in the Additional Information section of a part’s details. This means end users can see which Buyer Group, if any, a part is attached to in the pop-up that shows when clicking on a product.

Two things to note:

  1. This field will only appear for parts that are attached to a Buyer Group.
  2. This field has been added to Display Options as well so that you can hide the field entirely for a portal.

Buyer Groups make it easy to keep the right people informed of product inventory quantities. Learn more: Buyer Groups

Benefits to the Client

  • See Buyer Group information while browsing products on the front end.
  • Control whether or not portal users can see the Buyer Group field via Display Options.

How It Works

The addition of Buyer Group to the Part Details pop-up is active by default. If a part is attached to a Buyer Group, users will be able to see which Buyer Group is associated with the part in the Additional Information section.

This field can be suppressed at the portal level via Display Options. To do so:

  1. In the back end, go to Portals and select a customer.
  2. In the left-hand menu, select Display Options.
  3. Drag the item called PartDetails.BuyerGroup from the Currently Visible to the Currently Hidden column.
  4. Click Save.
