Did You Know you can use Shipping Day to have all of a customer’s orders ship on the same day each week?
When Shipping Day is enabled, this will force all orders to use the same ship day each week. This is a portal-level setting that can be used to simplify your fulfillment operations by restricting shipping to once per week.
End users will not be allowed to select a ship day other than the one that was set. The storefront will automatically calculate the part lead time, company lead time, and whether weekend shipping is included and then will set the estimated shipping date accordingly.
Note: Shipping Day works best when used in combination with Order Consolidation, but it is not required.
Consolidate Orders is an option that automatically consolidates all the end users’ orders that are being shipped to the same address. This minimizes shipping costs for the client. When this option is used, all orders will be noted as consolidated and the new open order awaiting shipment will be created with a “-CS” included in the new order number. This new order will consist of a combined order lines and quantities of all orders that have been consolidated into one order.
