Major Feature Announcement: Auto Wave Warehouse

marketing portals web print

We’re pleased to introduce a major new WMS feature designed to speed up your order processing workflow. Auto Wave Warehouse will cause orders to be automatically waved as they come into the warehouse window based on availability.

The availability setting determines which orders Auto Wave Warehouse will target. Choose between three auto-wave settings: Fully Available, Partially Available, or Demand In Progress.

  • Fully Available: Only orders that are fully available will be auto-waved.
  • Partially Available: Orders that are partially available will be auto-waved. Auto-waved orders will become partial ship orders. Once the available order lines are shipped, the order will come back to the warehouse window with the remaining order lines.
  • Demand In Progress: Orders that are fully available except for print-on-demand order lines will be auto-waved. Like with Partially Available, the order will become a partial ship order and will come back to the warehouse window after the available order lines are shipped. This setting will not auto-wave orders that are missing inventory for static items.

You can also use this feature to automatically drop pickslips and packslips to site connectors when orders are auto-waved.

Automate order waving and streamline your warehouse workflow with Auto Wave Warehouse

Auto Wave Warehouse offers you a new automation tool to help you get orders out the door with fewer steps.

Benefits

  • Automatically wave orders based on inventory availability.
  • Automatically drop pickslips and packslips to site connectors.
  • Reduce warehouse management touchpoints and increase site efficiency.

How It Works

Auto Wave Warehouse is an opt-in feature. Set up this capability in the back end by doing the following:

  • Go to System / Site / Warehouse Settings.
  • In the Warehouse Window section, set Auto Wave Warehouse to “Yes”.
  • Choose the targeting for the Auto Wave feature.
    • Fully Available: Only orders that are fully available will be auto-waved.
    • Partially Available: Auto-wave orders that have partial availability. The available order lines will move along the flow to be shipped and then the order will reappear in the warehouse window with the remaining orders lines.
    • Demand In Progress: Auto-wave orders that have available inventory except for print on demand items.
  • Optionally, select site connectors for the Packslip Site Connector and and Pickslip Site Connector settings.
    • Packslips and pickslips of auto-waved orders will be automatically dropped to the selected site connectors.
  • Click Save.

Notes:

  • In order to auto-wave partially available orders, Partial Shipping must be enabled in the customer settings. Partial Shipping
  • Partially Available and Demand In Progress both will also auto-wave orders that are fully available.

Now, orders will be auto-waved as they come into the warehouse window according to the availability setting. If you have any questions about Auto Wave Warehouse or need support, you can contact our support team at: support@propago.com or 512.522.2883
