Did You Know you can rearrange the order of parts and part categories on the portal?

You can control the order that part categories are displayed on the portal and the order that parts are displayed in each category. This is done in the back end by using the Ranking column.

In the back end Part Category page you can also nest part categories within other categories to create sub-categories. With these organizational tools, you can precisely control the layout of parts in your portal.

How It Works

To change the order of part categories:

• In the back end, go to Portals / Select a Customer / Part Categories.
• Input numbers in the Group Ranking field of each part category. Lower numbers will show ahead of higher numbers on the portal.
• If two categories are given the same number then they will be arranged alphabetically.

To nest part categories within other categories:

• On the Part Category page, click Product Cat. Hierarchy. 
• Drag the sub-category on to the category you want it nested under.
• You can create further tiers of sub-categories by dragging and dropping categories into nested categories.

To change the order of the parts within a part category:

• On the Part Category page, click a part category to go to its details.
• Click the Category Parts tab.
• Input numbers in the Ranking field for each SKU to set the order.
