Did You Know you can control which user groups see estimated ship times?
Showing estimated ship times for products on the storefront is an option that can be turned on or off at the customer or user group level. Estimated ship time is calculated as the part’s lead time + the customer-level lead time.
Users will see this information on the browse pages of their storefront, the checkout page, the place order page, the order confirmation page, and the order email notification.
Note: Estimated ship time will only show for out-of-stock items.
For example, say a flyer has a lead time of 3 days and the customer lead time is set at 3 days. On the browse page, users with the Estimated Ship Date option set the Yes will see “Ships in 6 Days” like so:
Benefits to the Client
- Give users the ability to see when they can expect their products to be produced and shipped.
- Enable or restrict this information per user group.
How It Works
Find the Estimated Shipping Date option on the customer-level in the back end by going to Portals / Select a Customer / Settings / User Experience. Set to Yes to show estimated ship time for out-of-stock items on the storefront.
You can turn this feature off for a user group by going to Portals / Select a Customer / User Groups / Select a User Group / Settings / User Experience. Set the Estimated Shipping Date option to No.
