Did You Know the Address Book allows you to control billing and shipping addresses within a portal?

Propago has a robust Address Book feature with a great deal of configurability.

Front end admins with access to the Address Book can use it to:

• Assign addresses to entire user groups or only a set of specific users.
• Set addresses as the default for users.
• Set addresses as editable or not during the checkout process.
• Mark an address as a ship-to address, bill-to address or both.

Benefits to the Customer

• Provide users easy access to addresses to make checking out smoother and quicker.
• Control which addresses users and user groups have access to.
• Control how addresses can be used and whether they can be edited.

How It Works

Users with front end admin access can find the Address Book by going to Admin / Setup / Address Book.

To import addresses to the Address Book:

• Go to the Address Book page.
• Click Export to download the address import template.
• Fill out the template file and click Import.
• Select the address list file and the system will verify the spreadsheet for import.

You can also use this import feature to make bulk changes to the Address Book.

Note: Addresses in the Address Book must be set as Active and User Level in order to show up during checkout for end users.

If an address is set as User Level but not assigned to any user groups or users, it will be available to all users. If it is assigned to a user or user group, it will only be available to those users.

To assign an address to a user or user group:

• Select the addresses you wish to assign.
• Click Add User Groups to Address or Add Users to Address.
• Select the users or user groups you want to assign. (Hold CTRL to select multiple)
• Click Add.

The assigned users will now be able to choose the addresses when going through the checkout process.

You can click the Edit icon next to an address in the Address Book to change the details and settings of the address.

• Select Shipping Address or Billing Address to restrict users from editing the address during the checkout process. They will only be able to select it from the modal.  
• Select Default Address to make this address auto-populate when assigned users are checking out.
