Did You Know front end admins can use the Message Center to create pop-up alerts?
The Message Center allows users with front end admin access to post useful and/or important messages that they want end users to see. Messages will show up on the My Messages page of users.
These messages can be given a priority rating of either Low, Medium, High, or Persistent. Persistent priority messages will display every time a user logs in until the message is removed. High priority messages will display just the first time a user logs in after the message is created.
Benefits to the Customer
- Create alerts with important updates or news that users see when they enter the portal.
- Add persistent pop-ups add reminders that users will see each time they enter the portal.
- Users can see all previous messages on the My Messages page.
How It Works
To create a new Group Message:
- Go to the page Admin / Message Center.
- Click Compose New Message in the upper right corner.
- Give your message a subject and compose the message.
- Select a priority: Low, Medium, High, or Persistent.
- High priority messages will display in a pop-up the first time a user logs in after the message is created.
- Persistent priority messages will display in a pop-up every time a user logs in after the message is created until the message is removed by an admin.
- Click Send.
Front end users can view all group messages that have been posted by going to Tools / My Messages. Each message will list the date it was created, the priority, the subject, and the author. Clicking the subject will display the full message.
Front end admins can remove group messages by clicking the delete button to the right of a message in the Message Center.
