Did You Know multiple parts can be linked so that their order volumes will combine for price aggregation?

Price aggregation typically refers to volume-based discounts on a per-part basis (pricing tiers). Say you have a product that costs $1.00 per unit up to 100 units, $0.75 per unit up to 200 units and so on. But with the Price Agg. section in the customer detail page, you can link together multiple parts so that their order volumes will combine in a user’s cart to calculate price aggregation.

Example:

  • Business Card A and Business Card B are linked
  • Order 50 of Business Card A and 50 of Business Card B
  • Reach the 100-quantity pricing tier for both Business Card A and B

Benefits to the Client and You

  • Give end users lower prices when orders with multiple products of similar types.
  • Encourages end users to order greater quantities when ordering products in a Price Agg. group.

How It Works

Price aggregation is set up in the customer section of the back end. Navigate to a customer and find the “Price Agg.” section on the right end of the menu bar.

  • Click the Add Price Aggregate button, give the Price Aggregate group a name, optionally a description, and Save.
  • Click the group name and navigate to the Parts tab.
  • Here you can use the Add Parts button to browse and select SKUs to add to the group.

That’s it. Now whenever any parts in this Price Aggregate group are in an order together, their quantities will combine to determine price aggregation based on the discount tiers each part has been set up with.
