Did You Know: Warehouse Gun Interface

mobile warehouse app

Propago’s Warehouse Gun Interface is a web-based tool that makes it easy to perform warehousing tasks from a mobile device. This simple interface designed for mobile allows users to quickly access warehouse information, make picks, and perform inventory transactions.

We believe this tool can make completing routine warehouse tasks quicker and easier. From a mobile device (phone or RF gun), warehouse personnel can:

  • See information about inventory such as locations and quantities on hand.
  • See information about warehouse locations.
  • See what orders are ready to be picked and make picks.
  • Perform inventory transactions (receive, move, adjust).

How It Works

To access the Warehouse Gun Interface, go to the following URL on your mobile device:

gun.mypropago.com

Input your back end credentials to log in.

On the home screen, you’ll see that the Warehouse Gun Interface is divided into four sections. The navigation button on the top right allows you to jump to any of these four sections from any page within the interface. In the top left, you’ll find the Home button and the Return button.

  • Pick – View and pick orders.
  • Part Search – Get information about a part such as locations and quantity on hand.
  • Location Search – Get information about a location and the inventory at that location.
  • Transactions – Perform inventory transactions.

Pick

In the Pick section, users can see what orders are currently ready to be picked. Select an order and input a pick amount to pick. Users can also pick by scanning in the order number from the pick sheet and inputting the pick amount.  Note that you can short pick items or “zero” pick items as needed per your warehouse set up.

Part Search

Search by SKU, name, or description to retrieve information on a part. Users can also scan a SKU to quickly search for the part. Selecting a part will show information including: Name, Quantity On Hand, Pieces/QPC, Locations, Quantity at Location, FiFo, and the part’s Identifier.

Location Search

Scan or enter a location to get information about that warehouse location including quantities and FiFo dates of all inventory stored there. In addition, Location Search provides static information about warehouse locations such as whether it is a Fast Pick Pack Location.

Transactions

The Transaction section allows users to perform inventory transactions (receive, move, adjust). SKUs and locations can be entered manually or selected via the search/browse option.
