Did You Know you can show product descriptions inline with each product in an order details page?

We have added a new Display Option that adds product descriptions to each order line on order details pages. 

Now, users can see more information about each product in an order at a glance when viewing pending or past orders.

Hidden by default, you can enable this option in the Display Options of a portal.

Benefits to the Client

  • Efficient Approvals: Approvers can make quicker decisions with full product context shown.
  • Context at Glance: Get immediate context for each item in an order with visible descriptions.
  • Flexible Visibility: Keep descriptions hidden or make them visible based on user preference.

How It Works

This is a portal-level setting which can be found in the Display Options tab of the Customer Details page.

By default, this new Display Option is set as Hidden. When set to Visible, all users will be able to see the descriptions of products when viewing an order’s details on the following pages: 

  • Account > Orders > Order Details
  • Account > Pending Approvals > Order Details
  • Admin > Orders > Order Details

The part description will be displayed beneath the other product information for each order line in an order.
