Did You Know the Price Per Page feature now supports price breaks?

back end warehouse management

Price Per Page is an Upload Part setting that allows you to charge based on the page count of a user upload. It works in conjunction with the Preflight feature, which you can read more about here. Preflighting Upload Parts

The Price Per Page feature now supports price breaks, meaning you can have the price per page depend on the number of pages in the user upload. This is controlled by the price breaks designated in the part’s pricelist, just like standard volume-based discounts.

Example: Part A has uploading, preflight, and price per page all enabled. In the pricelist for Part A, 3 prices are listed:

  • Qty more than 9 = $1
  • Qty more than 49 = $0.75
  • Qty more than 99 = $0.50

If a user uploads a PDF with 15 pages, the price would equal $15.

If a user uploads a PDF with 55 pages, the price would equal $41.25.

If a user uploads a PDF with 100 pages, the price would equal $50.

Benefits to You

  • Add price breaks to upload parts with Price Per Page enabled.
  • Use the same price breaks already set up in standard pricelists with Price Per Page.
  • Give clients volume-based discounts for uploads with large page counts.

How It Works

No setting is needed to turn on price breaks specifically for use with Price Per Page. When a part has Allow Uploads, Preflight, and Price Per Page all enabled, the price per page will take into account any volume-based discounts set up on the part’s pricelist.
