Did You Know you can enforce min and max weight limits per carrier option?
Control which carriers users can choose from based on total order weight. We have added Min Weight and Max Weight as new carrier setup options. These are optional fields that allow you to enforce weight limits on carriers by assigning min/max weights.
During checkout, if the total order weight falls outside the min/max range of any carriers, the system will automatically hide those carrier options. Users will only be able to see and select carriers within range of their order’s weight and carriers with no weight limits specified.
Benefits to You
- Control carrier usage more granularly by adding weight limit settings to carriers.
- Assign min/max weight limits to specify the range an order must fall in to use a carrier.
- Leave the min and max weight fields empty to allow a carrier to be used with any order weight.
How It Works
To add min and/or max limits to a carrier:
- In the back end, go to System / Carriers.
- Go to the carrier’s page by clicking its name.
- Enter the desired weight limits in the Min Weight and Max Weight fields. (# of pounds).
- Click Save
