Did You Know with Bill Freight Only enabled a customer will only be billed the cost of freight for orders?
Bill Freight Only is a payment setting that will cause the system to ignore the prices of products and only bill the users for the cost of freight. This setting can be enabled portal-wide or per user group.
This can be useful if you have some users or customers who aren’t using the storefront for product cost billing but still want prices associated with parts for reporting purposes.
Benefits to the Customer
- Give select user groups or customers the ability to ignore product prices and only be billed for the freight cost.
- Use prices on parts for reporting and analytics but have the cost ignored for billing.
How It Works
To turn on Bill Freight Only for a portal, go to Portals / Select a Customer / Settings / Price/Payment Settings and change Bill Freight Only to “Yes”. Then save.
To turn on Bill Freight Only for a user group, go Portals / Select a Customer / User Groups / Select a User Group / Settings / Price/Payment Settings and change Bill Freight Only to “Yes”. Then save.
