Did You Know there is an option to restrict a part to be used only with Facebook Posting?

The Facebook Posting feature allows end users to turn a product on the storefront into a scheduled Facebook post with just a few clicks. Learn more about Facebook Posting.
The new Facebook Only option allows you to set up a part so that end users can ONLY utilize the product via the Facebook Posting function.
Benefits to the Client
- Enables a new type of product specifically for use with Facebook Posting.
- Make it clear to the end users which products are meant to be used as Facebook posts.
- Prevent users from placing orders for items that are intended to be Facebook posts only.
How It Works
To restrict a part to be used with Facebook Posting only, go to the part’s page in the back end:
- Part / Parts / Select a Part.
- Scroll down to the Basic Settings section.
- Below the “Allow Facebook Posting” option you’ll see a setting called “Facebook Only”.
- Change this to “Yes” to restrict this part for use with Facebook Posting only.

You’ll see that for non-personalized products that have been set as Facebook Posting only, the Order button now says “Share”. Personalized products will still say “Personalize” and will allow the user to create a proof. When they finish their proof, the proof approval pop-up will only allow the user to share this proof to Facebook.

This message that shows when a user is prompted to share their personalized proof via Facebook is customizable. You can go to Portal / Select a Customer / Messaging and use the Facebook Proofing Approval Message option to customize this text.
