Did You Know you can now bulk import serial numbers for order lines that require serialization?
Serialization is an option that can be turned on at the part level for parts that require unique serial numbers captured at the time of shipment.
We have added a new Service API for bulk importing serial numbers to order lines that require them.
This new bulk import function is a two-step process:
- Exporting order lines that are pending serial numbers.
- Importing serial number data to update pending order lines.

- The ability to generate a data sheet with all order lines in the site that are currently pending serial capture data.

How It Works
To use the Bulk Serial Capture service:
- In the back end, go to Tools / Service APIs.
- Scroll to the section at the bottom of the page called Serial Capture Service.
- Click Export Pending Serial Capture Data to download a datasheet with all the current order lines in the Pending Serial Capture status.
- Fill in the serial number data.
- Use the Import Serial Capture Data button to upload your datasheet.
After that, the system will verify that the order data matches what is pending serial capture and then the serial number data will be updated. The order statuses will move out of Pending Serial Capture.
