Did You Know parts with PDFs can be enabled to have a “flipbook” view?

Flipbook View is a new front end feature that can be enabled on the part level for any part with a PDF. The flipbook view is a convenient way to examine a multi-page product in detail without having to download the PDF.

Users can flip through the pages of a PDF in the browser by clicking the page corners.

Benefits to the Customer

  • View multi-page products in the portal without downloading the PDF.
  • Flip through pages with an intuitive flipbook interface.

How It Works

To turn on the flipbook view for a part:

  • In the back end, go to Part / Parts / Select a part.
  • On the Basic Information page, go to the Basic Settings section.
  • Change the setting called “Show Flipbook View” to “Yes”.
  • Click Save.

On the front end, users can find the flipbook view by clicking into the details of a product with Flipbook View enabled and clicking the “Open Flipbook” button beneath the “Download PDF” button.
