Did You Know you can set up Two-Factor Authentication for back-end user access?
Two-Factor Authentication is a method of site security that requires users to perform an additional step to log in. Propago now supports two-factor authentication as an optional feature for your back-end Propago site.
With two-factor authentication turned on, back-end users will need to use either Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator to receive and enter a one-time security code to log in. Google Authenticator and Microsoft Authenticator are both free apps that can be used on most smart devices.
Benefit to You
- Add two-factor authentication to increase the security of your Proapgo site.
How It Works
To turn on two-factor authentication:
- In the back end, go to System / Site / Two-Factor Auth.
- Set the Enable Two-Factor Authentication drop-down to “Yes”.
- Click Save.
The first time a user attempts to log in to the back end after this setting is enabled, they will be prompted to set up their two-factor authenticator. The login page will have a QR code and manual code. Users can use either method (QR code or manual code entry) to setup Two-Factor Authentication with either Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator.
Once this is set up, a user simply needs to open their authenticator app and enter the one-time code to proceed to the site after entering their user password.
