Major Feature Announcement: Facebook Posts

Facebook comes to Propago portals!

Propago is excited to present Facebook Posts, a new feature that lets your clients post marketing materials to Facebook from within their portal.

With this social media integration, users can turn products into Facebook posts. Schedule, caption, and publish posts to a Facebook page with this easy-to-use integration.

This feature works with static and personalized products, meaning users can personalize, for example, a marketing flyer and post the proof to Facebook with just a few clicks.

Give your clients a new tool to reach their audiences digitally with Propago’s Facebook Posts!

Key Features of Facebook Posts

  • Create Facebook posts within the portal for both static and personalized products.
  • Schedule Facebook posts to publish on a later date.
  • Choose which products allow Facebook posting.
  • Choose whether users can add captions to their Facebook posts.

How It Works

Facebook Posts is an opt-in feature that can be enabled per customer and on the part level. To use Facebook Posts, first enable the customer-level setting.

  1. Go to Portals / Select a Customer / Settings.
  2. In the User Experience section, find the “Allow Facebook Posting” setting.
  3. Set to “Yes”.
  4. Optionally, you can set the “Allow Facebook Caption” setting to “Yes”. This will allow users to add captions to their Facebook posts. Not enabling this setting will restrict the posts to only include the product.
  5. Click Save.

By default, parts will have Facebook Posts enabled. You can disallow Facebook Posts for any part within the part’s settings.

  1. Go to Part / Parts / Select a Part.
  2. In the Basic Settings section, find the “Allow Facebook Posting” and “Allow Facebook Caption” settings.
  3. Set as needed.
  4. Click Save.

On the portal, users can create Facebook posts by clicking the Facebook “F” icon below the Add to Cart button on any part with Facebook posting enabled.

  1. After clicking the Facebook Post button, you will be prompted to personalize the part if it is not static.
  2. After you finish proofing, on the Proof Approval page, click Post Image to Facebook.
  3. You will be prompted to login to Facebook.
  4. Select which Facebook Pages you want to connect to Propago.
  5. Note: Propago’s Facebook Posts feature publishes to Facebook Pages, not individual Facebook profiles.
  6. Select a Page.
  7. If Facebook Captions is turned on for this part, you will have the option to write a caption for the post.
  8. Use the Schedule option if you want to schedule the post to publish on a later date.
  9. Click Post to Facebook.
