Major Feature Announcement: Campaigns
The Propago Team is pleased to announce a robust new communication feature for your customers called Campaigns. This front-end tool lets your customers design and send targeted emails to users and user groups.
This is far more than a simple email scheduler. Front-end admins can create email templates, mold the design, add attachments, and get analytics on the status of email campaigns.
Campaigns makes it easier for your clients to keep their user base up-to-date and engaged with their portal.
Better communication tools lead to happier customers, and more engaged users leads to more sales!
Key Features in Campaigns:
- WYSIWYG Editor
- Save and Re-use Templates
- Add Attachments, Links, and Dynamic User Data
- Email Testing
- Campaign Status Page
Campaigns gives your customers a feature-full emailing service built right into their marketing portal.
How It Works
Campaigns is a front-end admin page. To create a campaign:
- On the front end go to Admin / Campaigns.
- Click Add Campaigns to create a campaign.
- Give the campaign a name and click Save Campaign.
You’ll be taken to the Campaign’s template page where you can design and edit email templates. This template functionality makes it easy to quickly create multiple versions of an email for different purposes or re-use a past email and only update certain information.
Use the WYSIWYG editor to craft your email. You have access to a full suite of formatting and HTML tools including:
- Insert Image
- Insert File Attachment
- Copy and Paste Formatting
- View and edit HTML
- Insert Hyperlink
One important feature to note here is Dynamic User Data. This allows you to add personalized elements to the emails you send. Dynamic User Data can be used to add name, email, and company information that pulls info from each user’s account.
Give the template a name and click Save Template. When you want to edit a template, click the name of the template from the list on the right-hand side.
You can send a test email to yourself or other users using the Test Email function. This will allow you to make sure all the dynamic user data and formatting elements look the way you want them to.
When you’re ready to send out an email, click the Send Email(s) button. Add the users and user groups you want to send to and click Send Emails. A pop-up will show you how many users this email will go out to before confirming.
After sending you’ll be taken to the campaign’s status page. This is where you can see the total count of recipients for this campaign as well as counts for each push. You’ll also see the date the email was queued, when it was sent, and what user group each recipient is associated with. This data can also be exported.
And that’s Campaigns! We believe this will be a very flexible and practical tool for your customers to communicate with their users. They can send targeted messages to user groups, widespread announcements about the portal, encourage users to put in orders for certain products, and so much more.
