Did You Know you can alter a part’s variables without changing its Soft Proof Project?

Soft Proof Projects allow you to manage variable print templates and apply the same template to multiple parts. This saves time when you have many variations of personalized products.

If you want to make changes to one part’s variables without affecting the variables of other parts with the same template, you can do so with the Manage Variables feature.

• Change part variables settings for different parts without changing the whole soft proof project.
• See all the parts that are connected to a soft proof project.
• Add or remove parts from a soft proof project.

How It Works

In the back end go to Proofing / Soft Proof Projects. Select a soft proof project and scroll down to the bottom of the page.

Here, you’ll see all the parts that use this soft proof project. To alter one part’s variables, click the Manage Variables button next to the part. You’ll be taken to a page where you can make overrides to this part’s variables without affecting the variables of the other part’s attached to this soft proof project, just click the override checkbox for each variable updated and hit save when you’re done.

You can also attach this soft proof projects to multiple parts or remove any parts currently attached by using the Add and Remove buttons.
