Did You Know you can ensure greater inventory accuracy with Cycle Counts?

Cycle Counts is Propago’s newest warehousing feature, designed to help you improve inventory accuracy with less work. With the Cycle Counts page, you can perform audits of your warehouse locations and compare the expected and actual counts of a sampling of inventory.

The Cycle Counts page does most the work, telling you which SKUs to count for each location and what the expected count is. You can export this list as a PDF to print and submit the actual counts on the Cycle Count page.

Benefits to You

  • Ensure greater inventory accuracy with less effort and time spent.
  • Perform a regular inventory audit with minimal disruption to daily operations.

How It Works

Cycle Counts is a site-level setting. To turn on Cycle Counts:

  1. Go to System / Site / Warehouse Setting
  2. Check the box for Enable Cycle Count
  3. For the Cycle Count Days option, choose from the dropdown how long you want each cycle to be. This is how many days it will take to complete an audit of all locations to be counted. Cycles can be set to run for 7, 14, 30, 60, or 90 days.

On the Cycle Counts page, based on your Cycle Count Days selection, you’ll see a number of parts to be counted in order to meet the sampling goal. By default, Cycle Counts doesn’t look at parts in consolidation zones, fast pick pack locations, parts on hold, return locations, or customizable parts. You can choose to include parts in these locations with the options on the right side.

To perform a cycle count:

  1. Go to Warehouse / Cycle Counts
  2. Select the warehouse from the Warehouse dropdown.
  3. Here you’ll see all the SKUs to count, including the location and the expected count of each.
  4. Click Start Count.
  5. Input the actual count for each and then click Submit Count.
