Major Feature Announcement: Tradeshows!

We’ve got a new major feature to announce today for the Propago Platform: Tradeshows! Take some of the work out of event planning for your clients with product kits that include everything they need for an upcoming tradeshow. Clients can order their tradeshow flyers, get promotional items, and reserve event equipment all at once.

Tradeshow Kits combine Propago’s kitting feature with the recently added Fixed Assets feature. It’s a unique type of part kit that can include a combination one-off parts and items like furniture and equipment that the client owns.

For example, say a client is attending a large annual tradeshow that is coming up in a few weeks. You can create a Tradeshow Kit that contains everything from client-owned assets like couches and flyer stands to marketing assets like business cards, promo, and apparel.

When a user selects the kit they’ll be asked which dates they need their products and equipment for. Then, they’ll build out their kit. They’ll only be able to reserve Fixed Assets that are available during the dates they chose. Once they’re satisfied with their kit they can add it to the cart and check out.

With Tradeshows, you can give your clients a convenient, time-saving tool that helps streamline the logistics of preparing for a big event.

How It Works

To create a Tradeshow Kit:

  1. Go to Part Kits in the back end: Part / Part Kits
  2. Click Add and fill out the required information. Select Tradeshow for the Kit Type.
  3. Once the kit is saved, select the kit and go to Parts In Kit.
  4. Add all the parts you want to include in the kit, including Fixed Asset parts.
  5. Go to Part Category and assign the part to one or more Part Categories.

On the front end, to order a Tradeshow Kit:

  1. Find the Tradeshow Kit and click Order Now.
  2. Use the calendar to drag and select the dates you need to order and reserve items for.
  3. Click Check Availability to continue.
  4. Build your Tradeshow Kit by adding the items you need to your kit.
  5. When happy with your kit, click Add to Cart.
  6. If you have any Fixed Assets in your Tradeshow Kit, you’ll have one hour from the time it was added to your cart to check out.

After an order for Tradeshow Kit is placed, all the order lines, including any Fixed Assets, will be routed to the appropriate workflow. Fixed Assets ordered in Tradeshow Kits will appear in the Fixed Asset Maintenance section of the back end so you can see how many have been reserved and for what time frame.
