Did You Know you can allow individuals without user accounts to enter the storefront?
Open Storefront is a portal-wide setting that enables people without user accounts to enter the portal. Unlike other types of login methods, Open Storefront does not require any information from the visitor. The user is only required to create a username and password and register during the checkout process.
Benefits to the Client
- Only register and store user accounts for users will be placing orders on the portal.
- Let organization members create their own user accounts after being given the portal URL.
How It Works
To turn on Open Storefront:
- Go to the Settings for the portal in the back end. Portals / Select Customer / Settings
- In the section labeled “Storefront Access”, set the Open Storefront option to “Yes”.
- Select a Default User. This will determine the viewing rights and permissions of anyone who comes into the storefront without a user account.
- Optionally, you can turn on the Access Code Required setting and input a code in the Access Code field. This will require a code to be entered before a guest user can submit an order.
Once Open Storefront is turned on, a guest can enter the portal using the portal URL. They will need to create an account before they can submit an order.
