Did You Know clients can require their end users to create a global profile?
The Enforce Profile Creation option is a company and user group-level option that forces users to create a global profile on the portal. Users must create a global profile in order to continue navigating the portal the first time they enter the portal after this setting is turned on.
This setting can be useful if you have a client that wants to utilize global profiles for a particular purpose and make sure each user has created one.
Global profiles allow end users to retain data for easy form population when they are personalizing products.
Benefits to the Client
- Ensure each user has created a global profile.
- Gather information from every portal user with a global form.
- Enforce global profile creation for specific user groups or all users.
How It Works
To turn on Enforce Profile Creation, go to the Settings tab of a customer’s detail page. Portals > Select Customer > Settings.
- In the User Experience Section, find the option called Enforce Profile Creation
- Use the dropdown to select a global form.
- Click Save.
You can do the same thing for a user group instead of all the users of a company by going to the settings of a user group.
The first time each user enters the portal after this setting is turned on, they will be required to create a global profile before they can continue using the portal.
