Did You Know front end admins can now impersonate users to place orders on their behalf?
By impersonating a user, you can see the storefront as that user sees it and place orders using their user data. Propago has long supported the ability to impersonate a front end user from the back end. But now, we’ve added the ability to give any front end admin access to this feature. Previously, this was only something a back end user could do. This means your clients can impersonate an end user and place personalized orders for them, all on the front end.
Instead of having to manually key in a user’s info when ordering on their behalf, a front end admin can use this feature to log in as that user and have their details automatically fill in personalization forms on products such as business cards and flyers.
Benefits to your clients
- Impersonate users directly from the front end
- Have end user’s up to date information on hand when placing orders for them
- Cut out time spent keying in another user’s info on personalized products
How does it work?
To give a front end admin the ability to impersonate a user on the front end, go to the Portals tab in the back end. Click into the admin user’s portal, then go to that user’s profile via the Users tab. Under the section labeled Access Rights, check the box labeled Allow Impersonate User. To impersonate a user, go to the user’s details page in the front end, found in Admin > Users. You’ll find the Impersonate Login button on the toolbar next to Reset Password.
